Victoria Escott, Dip Couns., FdSc Addictions Couns., MBACP (Accred).
Welcome to my website, I’m Victoria, an experienced integrative therapist specialising in Psychological Trauma and Addiction. Sometimes in life problems may seem insurmountable or overwhelming and it can begin to feel like things are falling apart. We can all find ourselves in a difficult place at times and during these times therapy can help. I find most people like to have a balance between talking about the past and achieving change in the here and now. Alongside traditional talking therapy and somatic (body) work I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. EMDR Therapy is particularly effective in the treatment of PTSD and Psychological Trauma.
I often work with a wide range of challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, loss and bereavement, life transitions, relationship difficulties, family problems, trust issues, recovering from betrayal/affairs etc alongside more specialist counselling for alcohol, drugs, addictive/destructive behaviour, Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
